a clever ploy

Maybe I’m giving Paul Le Guen a trace too-much credit for using the media to stir-up Monaco’s preparation but today after commenting that he is does not know if Ludovic Giuly and Claude Makélélé will be able to play on Saturday in the opening match of the season, the media feeding frenzy went into overdrive. While it true the dynamic duo have been set back with modest injuries, there has been no reason to believe they are so serious that it would take nearly three weeks to recover. The pulse of this situation seems more like a wily move within coaching tactics then of substance.
