a very good day

By: j | July 19th, 2008

Yes, it was a very good day.

Of the notable events in the Clermont Foot match was the spark that Stéphane Sessegnon that provided when he entered in the second half, the aggressive and fluid play of the striking tandem of Péguy Luyindula and Guillaume Hoarau as well as the creative flourish that Clément Chantôme and Jérôme Rothen provided from the midfield. And did I forget the Mickaël Landreau walling-up the PSG goal and taking a role as a stern leader. If Paul Le Guen entered the match looking for a spark, he found it, If he was hoped confidence and team unity, it was there. Now he must continue to mold this team like fine clay, build its confidence, sharpen the tactical edge to a fine point and push the creative envelope. This was a very good day.

On Wednesday they face Roulers (Roeselare) Belgium with Monaco and the start of the campaign only two weeks from today.
