Coupe de la Ligue v Monaco

By: j | September 23rd, 2008

Based upon the obvious heavy-legged performance this past weekend against Saint-Étienne I am expecting Paul Le Guen to use tomorrows opening Coupe de la Ligue match against Monaco as a opportunity to see some of the younger players on the pitch. This will not only be very valuable playing time for them and an exciting look at the future for supporters but will also ensure the first-team is fully recovered to face Grenoble in Ligue 1 this weekend. If Paul Le Guen takes this approach we are likely to see Apoula Edima Bete Edel handle the ‘keeping duties as well as Yannick Boli and/or Loris Arnaud featured at striker. I will (likely) be heading to the match and will report after.
