Friday Morning News

First of all, Guillaume Hoarau, who was supposed to be out for the first few weeks of the season with an adductor injury, has resumed training and may feature in tomorrows Emirates Cup match against Rangers. This is wonderful news, because I can’t see us preforming well without Hoarau up front.
After Gabriel Heinze’s signing with OM, the PSG administration were quick to tell the press that they could have signed Heinze, but “[It] would have made things especially difficult for young Sakho.” Hmm, I think PSG just feels a little disappointed that their “icon” signed for their rivals. I actually agree with their little excuse though. Signing Heinze would severely hinder Sakho’s development, something not in the clubs interests. Would Marseille have been my first choice destination for him? No, definitely not, but I don’t have a huge problem with this either.
According to Goal.com, Nancy is the new favored destination for Monaco wonderkid Yohan Mollo, who we were reportedly tracking. We also learn from this illuminating article that Mollo is a cousin of Andre-Pierre Gignac and that Nancy coach Pablo Correa is “terrier-like”.
And finally, I found this video, although not entirely related, too amazing not to share:
Ligue 1 should pay this guy to do promo videos. This would turn anyone into a Ligue 1 fan.
That’s all for now from the PSG Offside.

I’m so glad Hoarau is back. That article says nothing about Nancy being the only team chasing Mollo, so we still have a chance. Wonderful video.

Amazing video. Getting Mollo would be awesome, but for some reason i doubt PSG is going to make an effort because we are apparently done with buying players. I can’t see how we’re going to cover the left wing if Rothen goes and we dont buy anyone though. We can use Sessegnon as a starter, but if he gets injured, who do we have. Tripy Makonda? I’m not liking this. I’m fine with Sessegnon starting their, he was brilliant against Fiorentina, I just want some backup for the left side. Jonathan Brison of Nancy anyone?

Oh, is Luyindula leaving? I’ve heard rumors about that, but nothing definitive. He’s good as backup, a french international and all (although i don’t know that that says much these days) and I’d rather get rid of Kezman than him.

Heinze could have been a strong signing, I think. In regards to a post below, weren’t PSG linked with Kerlon a couple of years ago, before his move to Inter? Why does this guy keep getting the PSG link?

Yeah, after doing some googling, you can find some Kerlon/PSG links from 2007-ish, where Kerlon is reported to have claimed that his desire is to play for PSG, like Ronaldinho did. Apparently, he’s a big ronaldinho fan. Personally, I think it’d be a great and interesting and exciting signing.

@Rama: Brison might be good cover, as long as his price is low, i would be happy to have him. Luyindula hasn’t been linked to leaving for a while now, so hes probably staying with the club.
@Aaron: Welcome, thanks for commenting and I agree with you about Kerlon. It’d be fun to have a player like that at the club.
