Jérémy Clément to Hamburger SV?
By: j | July 31st, 2008
As Martin Jol took over at Hamburg this season, a number of changes were in the offing. One of this chief concerns was establishing a midfield to suit his offensive attack. Numerous reports suggested that Kim Källström of Olympique Lyonnais spurred Hamburgs advances and as per Le Parisien, their efforts may have now turned towards Jérémy Clément. While he certainly must feel challenged right now with his role in the burgeoning PSG midfield, it doesn’t seem like Jérémy would leave the club as he has a great working relationship with Paul Le Guen. Much of his playing-time concerns could be answered as PSG toils more with a 4-2-3-1.
I will update as additional information becomes available.

Should of came back to Lyon when he had the chance. Now he will be stuck in limbo either following Le Guen from club to club everytime he gets sacked or going from club to club period.

Why would he turn to Clement after Kallstrom when they are 2 different types of players ???

Do German teams have more money than French teams?

Sportboy – I think Martin Jol is looking for more than one addition and believes Jérémy can suit his style. Looking forward to seeing the 4-2-3-1 in action as well.
Aditya – depending on which clubs and not necessarily how much money ownership has but how they invest (i.e. Rennes)

Le Guen might opt to play both Makelele and Clement. Plus Makelele can’t play every match. So I don’t think Clement should be too worried.

Inara – thats what I was seeing with Ludovic Giuly as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1. Nice attacking with Stéphane Sessegnon and Jérôme Rothen beginning to work well together

Do you guys know any websites (streaming or torrent) that have PSG matches, or will have them for this coming season? I live in Western Canada, and it’s terribly hard to find coverage outside of post-game wrap ups on websites. Much rather see (or even listen!) to the game itself. Not live, mind you, as I have a weird sleep schedule due to work and, well, living in Canada.
Also, great site. Just stumbled across this recently and it’s quite useful and informative.

Ludovic Giuly as a lone striker ? I dont like the sound of that. Use Kezmen or Braind instead if they come.

Luyindula is the lone striker. Giuly will play as support striker.

Thats even worse ! Damn, they need Kezmen or Briand badly.

Well that they do. Some good striker who can score 20 + goals is must.

Bacchus – if you’re looking at PSG, I would suggest PSG.TV and check into their service plans. I’d also look at Setanta as their broadband service is quite good.
Sportboy – Aditya; lets see what they draw-up and test first but the initial plans were with Giuly. I think with some the irons they have in the fire that it will change though. LOL..you’re like me, you’re ready for this season to begin now.

This is off topic, but I thought this was interesting:

Inara – thanks for that. I didn’t know Setanta had published that but there was a lot to say of his move after and I debated posting all of my own comments on it (please check that post)
His move was foolish to say the least or “a shame” how his coach phrased it and his advisers failed him. I wish the best for him this wasn’t an intelligent move for him.
Of course has there been a worse move than Gaël N’Lundulu to Portsmouth?
