Le Mans UC 72 Preview

By: Thomas | August 15th, 2009

In about two hours, PSG will take the field at the Parc des Princes for the first time this season. Both sides are coming off draws in which they conceded in the dying minutes, they are 10th and 11th in the Ligue, with one point to each of their names. Le Mans have not won in their last three visits to the Parc, and were defeated 3-1 last year through goals from Hoarau and Luyindula. This could be a challenge for us, but I think that If we work hard we can pull through on this one. Hoarau probably won’t start, but could provide firepower in the second half. I’m going with a 2-1 victory.

The LFP’s Predicted Lineups:

Paris Saint-Germain: Coupet; Ceara, Bourillon (or S. Traoré), M. Sakho, Armand; Giuly, Makelele (c), Clément, Sessegnon; Erding, Luyindula

Le Mans: Roche; Corchia, Louvion, Cerdan, Baal; Goulon, F. Thomas (c); A. Le Tallec, Coutadeur, Lamah; Maïga

Our formation will probably look something like this:

Coupet
Ceara Bourillon Sakho Armand
Guily Makelele Clement Sessegnon
Luyindula Erding

Or this:

Coupet
Ceara Bourillon Sakho Armand
Makelele Clement Sessegnon
Guily Erding Luyindula

Way to get one back! He dribbles a few men than slides one in. Hoarau and him will be spectacular. Can’t wait!

6 shots to PSG, 1 for Le Mans, and its 1-1. we’re unlucky. Luyindula just had a great chance.

We’ve been dominating, Sessgnon is involved in nearly every play, yet we’re tied 1-1. I’m hoping for more goals in the next half. Any way, other scores:
    Lens 1-0 AJA Monnet-Paquet
    Lorient 0-0 MHSC
    Lyon 1-0 VAFC Gomis
    ASNL 2-0 Monaco Dia, Luiz
    FCGB 2-0 Sochaux Chamakh, Wendel

Kezman on for Sessgnon. why? put in a forward for a mid when trying to hold a one goal lead? and a forward like Kezman at that?

Yeah, I’m delighted with how we played and the scoreline, and Erding was impressive. I can’t wait to see him play with Hoarau. Luyindula’s inability to score even when chances were presented to him on a platter in this match was worrying, but it’s only the second match. Another really impressive performance from Sessegnon. He deserves credit for the second goal.
