Lilian Thuram to retire

By: j | August 1st, 2008

A variety of news services are reporting that Lilian Thuram will announce his retirement today from Football after medical tests confirmed cardiac malformation. Lilian was to be the first big signing for the new PSG management when he agreed to terms in June. However in standard medical tests, similar cardiac abnormalities that resulted in his brothers passing were found. I’ll update once this is official.

A difficult, but wise decision. What an incredible trophy-laden career he’ll have to look back on.
