

Mateja Kežman suspended
By: j | February 6th, 2009Further to the incident when Mateja Kežman threw his shirt after being substituted in the recent Coupe de la Ligue match, the club has suspended the Serbian international for a period of fifteen days.
A club statement said:
“The Paris St Germain board met Mateja Kezman to listen to his explanations regarding the unacceptable gesture while he was being substituted. During the meeting, the club’s board, taking into account the explanations and the excuses offered by the player, have reaffirmed the need to respect the values of the club, especially the players who are its main representatives. During the meeting, the club’s board indicated to Mateja Kezman that it envisaged suspending him for a fortnight. After this period, Mateja Kezman has to prove to the club’s directors that he can again wear the jersey of the Paris St Germain first team.”
