Mateja Kežman ?

By: j | July 25th, 2008

Le Parisien is reporting that PSG is considering an offer on Serbian International Mateja Kežman who is presently for the Turkish club Fenerbahçe. A natural goal scorer, Mateja came to the Turkish club from Atlético Madrid after Chelsea and a very successful run at PSV. With Fenerbahçe adding Daniel Güiza from Mallorca his playing time will unquestionably diminish and will likely be more receptive to a move.

I am confirming with Turkish sources and will update.

Hi, my name is Nathan and I’m the Editor-in-Chief of Fenerbahce Worldwide, the English-language site for Fenerbahce (www.fenerbahceworldwide.org). You are correct about Kezman – we would hate to lose him, but he’s likely lost his starting spot and deserves better. Coach Luis Aragones told him just last week that he should likely look for another team.

I would love to see him at PSG and I still think he can fully develop into a European star. As soon as more news on Kezman develops, we’ll have it on http://www.fenerbahceworldwide.org. Thanks!

    Nathan

Kezman in France would be amazing — purely selfishly, I’d love to see him in a league I follow.

Turkish sources are also talking about this move. He wasn’t the right guy for what FB was trying to play the last couple of years. He was also unlucky with injuries. I think the best course for him and FB is a move like this. He is still a great finisher, should do better at PSG.

He hasn’t been a star since his move to Chelsea. But he would definitely be better than Luyindula in my opinion.

I’m a Fenerbahce supporter.Mateja Kezman is a good striker but he is having some mental problems. From his first day to his last day I’ve never saw him ready to matches physically or mentally.

(Sorry about mistakes in reply. As you see I’m Turkhıs)

He had a very disappointing time at Athletico Madrid, but I would expect him to have a decent season in the French League, should be about his level!

    Hi there everyone
I’d just like to say that Kezman’s mentality wasn’t his downfall. Kezman’s first few matches for us were very promising but a drop in form made him an easy target for comments. This led to a drop in confidence and a drop in composure as a striker. His work ethic was the only thing keeping him with us towards the end. I’ve been watching Güiza for a while and I don’t think the club has brought in a superior striker in comparison to Kezman. Hope you do well in France, Kezman!!
