Pauleta formally announces his retirement
By: j | November 17th, 2008
In a very unassuming announcement, PSG legend Pedro Pauleta formally announced his retirement today at the age of thirty-five. Since joining PSG in 2003 from Bordeaux, he became an extraordinary figure-head for the club and will be remembered not simply for his play on the pitch and leadership but his noble work with the public. Pictured above as he came off the pitch for the final time wearing the PSG crest in last years Coupe de France final against Lyon, the great leader has noted he would like to continue his involvement with the club as an ambassador. I am positive all supporters will join me in wishing the very best, with hope that his association with the club will continue throughout his days.

He really did so much. Over 100 goals for PSG, Portugal’s all time leading goal scorer. I’m surprised he got so little recognition outside France

I would have like to have seen him back but hope he has a major role with the club.
