PSG loses to Toulouse in dreary affair
By: j | October 29th, 2008Following the great victory over l’OM this weekend, PSG lost 1-0 to Toulouse at Parc de Princes in front of 42,000+. Alain Casanova’s le Téfécé played a flawless match and nullified the striking trident of Pegguy Luyindula,Guillaume Hoarau and Fabrice Pancrate / Ludovic Giuly in what was certainly PSG’s worst effort of the campaign. The few attempts towards Toulouse ‘keeper Cédric Carrasso were all long range attempts with low probabilities. The lone goal of the match was unfortunate lone-goal by Zoumana Camara with twenty-five minutes remaining and following it, PSG was unable to generate a serious attempt to level the match.
Beyond the loss, PSG lost Fabrice Pancrate fifteen minutes in to an undetermined injury. I will report on the extent of the injury once the the club makes an official announcement.
PSG travels to the Côte d’Azur to face Nice this Saturday.

I caught the last 25 minutes of this game, and sorry to say it, but Toulouse kicked your collective butts.
A fun and competitive game for a neutral, thought.
(I keep waiting for an excuse to not be a neutral where PSG is concerned, but they haven’t given it to me yet.)

Laurie – thank you for joining in. I agree Toulouse did a great job in a very classic approach and dictating play with near-perfect marking. They’ll have to do a lot better than this against Nice.
