

PSG v Rennais match preview

As Rennais visits Parc des Princes Sunday evening, Paul Le Guen is very aware of his sides opportunity. Speaking of les Rouge et Bleu chances against the visitors he said:
“We’ll be well prepared. We’ve had two days to rest after the match in Lyon. It was a chance to have a different kind of weekend, having played on the Friday. Now we need to get back to work. And look after our injured players too, because we’ll need the whole squad for the last games of the season.”
Rennais has proven to be a top contender to a European spot this year. Despite the loss of their brilliant striker Jimmy Briand, they have retooled their lineup and capable of attacking brilliance. Of the opposition Paul Le Guen added:
“Rennes is a very athletic side, a good side with a balance of youth and experience. They’ve hardly lost any matches this season. But we’re hoping they’ll have one eye on the their French Cup final at the Stade de France.”
On the injury front the Parisians are dealing with a series of possible absences including Claude Makélélé,Sammy Traoré, Jérôme Rothen and Clément Chantôme.
