PSG v Stade Rennais match preview

While some might point out in the drama in the backdrop of this match is a possible revenge of Rennes manager Guy Lacombe, who was let go by PSG in January 2007 after over two years of service but that is of-course pure nonsense. This match will be decided on the pitch and without a doubt PSG has prioritized this match as Claude Makélélé, Ludovic Giuly, Guillaume Hoarau and Stéphane Sessegnon were left out of the Racing Santander UEFA Cup match for the most part. Both clubs are fully fit with the exception of longer terms injuries although it is quite possible that the major influence of the match will be the weather. Given the horrible conditions of the Olympique Lyonnais – Valenciennes FC match, it is quite possible that the league will direct officiating crews to use better judgment in abandoning matches in such situations.
