Snow covered Parc des Princes
By: j | January 6th, 2009
Ahead of next Wednesdays Coupe de La Ligue quarter final clash against RC Lens, Parc des Princes is blanketed in a fresh coat of snow. In rare heavy snowfall, the pitch is covered with several centimeters and has forced grounds manager Arnaud Lescuyer into action. With temperatures dropping to a low of – 8°C this week, the club will begin clearing the snow on Wednesday and follow up by covering with a protective doom and blow in warm air to raise the temperature to 7°C approximately. The club is confident that there will be no problems and the surface will be playable.

Cool picture there. Poor groundsman. Oh and looking forward to Ligue 1 kicking off again.

Thank you Mars, glad you liked the photo as well. I go through a number and I thought that was a unique one.
Can’t wait to see the campaign re-start. Do you have any particular favourite team?

Cheers J. Favourite team? I guess it’s a long story but you could say I have a soft spot for both l’OM and PSG. That’s the beauty of being non-french, the north-south syndrome doesn’t really burden you. Though I admit I’m getting a little weary of the constant under performance by both of these sides throughout the last decade or so.
