Vincenzo Iaquinta, Claudio Pizarro or Ricardo Oliveira?

By: j | July 16th, 2008

In the hunt for firepower, it appears Paul Le Guen is poised to bring to Parc des Princes a proven sharp-shooter with Ricardo Oliveira of Real Zaragoza, Claudio Pizarro who is said to be on the chopping-block at Chelsea and most-notably Juventus‘ Vincenzo Iaquinta, at his choices.

Each, of course, has their own merit and must be considered how they will suit the team and surroundings. With Juventus signing Brazilian striker Amauri, the opportunity to draw Vincenzo Iaquinta, assuming he would leave Serie A, is probably the highest in his career. Equally Claudio Pizzaro, now out of favour in Chelsea with Luiz Scolari can apparently be had for a song and of course Real Zaragoza is holding court with their sharpshooter Ricardo Oliveira attracting offers throughout Europe.

So, of the three, who would like to see and fit in best to the confines of PSG?

Oliveira would seem to be the best choice. I don’t think Pizarro is any good and I don’t believe Iaquinta would go to Paris.

I’d take Oliviera in a flash. Only thing is Zaragoza is forcing clubs to either pay the 12 million up front or take him on loan and then pay.

Also, mercato is reporting PSG is looking at Brazilian playmaker Thiago Neves. If PSG get all the players they are trying to get (Guily, Briand, etc.,), maybe they can get back to the top or at least mid-table.

Yeah the Briand situation doesnt look good right now, its not as widely covered as Ben Arfa’s little rant with Lyon but its pretty intense stuff.

Seriously kids, to say PIZARRO is not any good you have no idea what you are saying, players go through low times this is Pizarros one, once he gets his autosteem back up he will be the “Bomber” he always was.
